About the role
To strengthen our position as one of the most innovative regions in the world and support the growing labor market, attracting and retaining international talent is essential.
As Project Lead International Branding & Communications you will be part of the International Talent Program team. You will work closely with the program manager, project leads, colleagues from the marketing & communications team, and external partners. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all branding, marketing and communication activities aimed at international audiences. You will play a vital role in attracting new international talent to the Brainport region and in strengthening connections with those already living, working, or studying here. This includes frequent collaboration with companies, educational institutions, and regional stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
International Branding, Content Creation & Campaigns
Develop and implement a content strategy for the International Talent Program, based on the brand strategy and (customer journey) research of the target audiences.
Co-develop, coordinate, and contribute to campaigns aligned with the pillars of the regional vision on international talent and International Talent Program initiatives: targeted attraction and retention of international talent, increasing the stay rate of international students, empowering spouses, and fostering an inclusive society. In short: translating complex agendas into impactful storytelling.
Translate and further develop the Brainport Regional Value Proposition (RVP) and associated toolkit into compelling (digital) narratives for international audiences.
Help build and strengthen Brainport’s international brand identity as an attractive tech hub to live, work, and study.
Create accessible, audience-relevant, and high-quality content such as articles, blogs, interviews, testimonials, social media posts, and newsletters.
Responsible for the international Brainport Eindhoven Study & Work website and related platforms and channels.
Organize and support steering group and sounding board meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Collaborate with companies, knowledge institutions, and regional partners (e.g. campuses) to co-create and distribute content (interviews, visuals, etc.); manage coordination with external suppliers.
Provide input for and coordinate international newsletters (regional and global audiences).
Monitoring, Evaluation & Innovation
Analyze audience engagement and content performance; report on reach, impact, and effectiveness.
Contribute to research initiatives and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Identify trends in international communications and emerging content formats.
Continuously optimize tone of voice, formats, and distribution strategies.

08:30 Starting with a good cup of coffee or tea while checking your email.
09:00 Online meeting with a company about implementing the Regional Value Proposition and toolkit.
09:30 Team week start, where we connect the developments to concrete activities and new opportunities.
10:00 Meeting with an external agency to prepare an upcoming steering committee, where you will present the concept for a new international online campaign to internal and external stakeholders.
11:30 Online editorial meeting about the upcoming edition of Homewards, the social onboarding program of the region, an initiative from Eindhoven365, Holland Expat Center South, and Brainport Development.
12:30 Daily lunch at the Brainport office with colleagues. Or take a short walk through the Philips de Jongh Park.
13:00 Translate insights of new research about international talent to our international content strategy and schedule follow-up actions.
15:00 Monthly content meeting with the Marketing & Communications colleagues.
16:30 Interview with an international student for a new testimonial for the website and newsletter.
Vereisten
Your Profile
Several years of experience in (place) branding, marketing and/or communication. Experienced in developing and executing marketing plans and (online) campaigns, and skilled in managing projects and collaborating with external agencies.
Excellent writing and communication skills in English (C1/C2), with a strong sense for tone, nuance, and audience.
Dutch is our main working language, therefore proficiency in Dutch is considered a plus. However, we welcome international applicants who are willing to learn the language.
Creative, proactive, and well-organized. Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on content production to bring ideas to life.

A competitive salary and a one-year contract, with the intention to extend. Depending on your background and experience, you’ll be placed in either entry-level scale 10 (starting at €3.616 gross per month based on 40 hours/week) or project lead scale 11 (starting at €4.855 gross per month based on 40 hours/week).
